3B Patrick Diaz – St. Raymond’s HS (’26)

6’2” & 220 LB

Right/Right

Travel Team: New York Grays

Patrick is an elite talent in the 2026 Class of our NYC and all of New York. He has the size and strength that teams salivate over. The big strong 6’2″ 220 LB frame is one that many colleges will hope to add to their roster. We love this kids game and tools! Below is the breakdown of his tools:

  • Hit Tool: Diaz has a nice compact swing with some lift. Has excellent to elite bat speed. Maintains excellent bat speed through the zone. Advanced hitting approach for his age and repeats his mechanics. Fluid stroke and uses the whole field. Ball jumps off the bat.
  • Power Tool: This will be his calling card, as he has plenty of power and its easy! He has ELITE power and this tool will only get better as he leans out and matures.
  • Arm Tool: This kid has a hose for an arm! Very accurate arm, with great on-line carry to the base. Has a quick release.
  • Defensive Tool: At the hot corner, he shows good actions, great body control, to go along with soft hands. Very smooth and he is as reliable of a fielder as they come. Reads hops well!
  • Run Tool: He is a below average runner but being a 3B, not the tool your looking for so we don’t find an issue here. He’s a base to base runner and wont clog up the bases by any means.
  • Player Grade: 8.3

One of the best talents to come out of NYC in awhile, he will have his pick of colleges come signing day. Don’t be surprised if he hears his name called on draft day either! This kid can hit and hit along way. We feel he should stay at the hot corner, but if he gets too big, he may shift over to first.
